Why Screen-Less?
Hey there! I’m Josh, the host of Curious Kids Every Day, and I want to explain why this show is intentionally screen-free.
We are surrounded by screens all day every day. As parents, it’s very easy to get distracted by our phones while our kids are right in front of us.
So I wanted to create something educational (and entertaining) that the whole family could enjoy together without staring at a TV or computer or phone.
There is just something special about audio. I spent so much time as a kid listening to the radio, to music, and to audio dramas. They all sparked my imagination in ways that TV just couldn’t. I want my kids to have that same experience that I got to have, even in a world that is increasingly driven by screen-usage.
Screens have their place, obviously. I love playing Minecraft with my kids. But I don’t want screens to be the default!
So I created this show to give other families an option, too.
Curious Kids Every Day is a screen-free production because I am amazed what a difference a couple of days without screens has on my kids. I hope this show helps your family unplug, too!
