Why Screen-Less?
Hey there!
I’m Josh, the host of Curious Kids Every Day, and I want to explain why this show is intentionally screen-free.
In a world where everything is flashing and buzzing and constantly trying to grab your children’s attention, Curious Kids Every Day is a quiet little corner where their ears and imaginations get to do all the work.
I believe that curiosity is powerful! I believe that asking “why?” and “how?” and “what if?” lead us to the best adventures. And those adventures are even better when you’re not staring at a screen when you’re having them!
That’s what this show is about. Building wonder. Sparking imagination. Engaging your brain without ever pressing play on a video.
I care about this because I’ve got four kids of my own, and I’ve seen how special life can be when we spend more time engaging with each other and less time scrolling and staring.
This show is a family project! I host the show, my kids help come up with the questions (and some of the games), and my wife designed the logo! I hope Curious Kids Every Day provides some family time for you too, and I encourage you to listen with your kids. Put the phones away and imagine with them! Talk about each episode after it’s over.
Curious Kids Every Day is a screen-free production because I am amazed what a difference a couple of days without screens has on my kids. I hope this show helps your family unplug, too!
